National Independence Day Parade
One of the largest 4th of July parades in America starts at 11:45am on Constitution Avenue and 7th street. The parade will feature invited bands, special military presentations, floats and celebrities. Get there early to ensure you have a great spot for viewing the excitement. This is definitely one of the best events to attend in Washington, DC during the holiday.

A Capitol Fourth
Be sure to catch the free concert on the lawn of the Capitol Building from 8:00pm- 9:30pm on July 4th. Each year the concert features celebrity musicians, the National Symphony Orchestra and a great view of the largest fireworks display in the country. This nationally televised event features Tom Bergeron, Maestro Jack Everly, US Army Presidential Salute Battery and the Choral Arts Society of Washington. Like everything in Washington DC on the 4th of July, be sure to arrive extra early for the best seats.
